Nice little light/laser combo
So far so good. Haven't used it that much but got it mounted and zeroed on my HK P2000. Was a little worried that it wouldn't fit because the P2000 is not listed as one of the handguns that Streamlight states this will fit, but it fits and works fine, no wobbles or instability or anything. One minor complaint, I suspect this is specific to the way this model fits the P2000 as well as my own hand size, is that the unit sits juuust a little further forward than I'd like it to, so I can't quite flick the controls easily with my trigger finger. I can do it, but I feel like the unit was meant to sit just a shade closer to the trigger guard making it easier to actuate the controls one handed without changing your firing grip too much. I don't have any experience with light/laser combos so that's just my impression. With that being said this is a handy little unit. I bought it thinking it would be a cool little laser for my AR, and it fit just fine on the standard picatinny rail, but I didn't like the extra width it added (mounted on the side) so I threw it on the HK using one of the alternate adapters (multiple adapters are included). I urge everyone to use caution when opening the package for the first time, there is a seriously tiny part that you need in order to install the unit correctly and if that thing falls on the ground you may never find it-a spare tiny part is included but probably better not to lose it.The controls are simple, easy to actuate and work very well. Installation was not intuitive by any means, some assembly is required but just follow the instructions and it's easy enough. See my comment about the tiny parts: don't think you'll just throw this together instantly, use some care and do it in a well lit area so you don't misplace the itty bitty critical component, I estimate it took me a little more than 5 minutes to assemble and install.Overall good product especially at this price point. Some people said it felt cheap due to plastic mounting clamps but I don't really agree, it feels fine to me. Not sure it would stand up to continuous hard abuse but I'm thinking it could easily survive getting knocked around at least once or twice. If you want something that will survive seriously hard use this probably isn't the right product or price category for you. I think that this will be fine for personal or maybe even law enforcement use, but probably not for the military where it would certainly get slammed around a lot more. I'll update if necessary as I do some more work with it. Never fired it on the AR, fired about 25 rds with it on the HK (.40), so far so good.

Excellent light/laser combo
I put about 200 rounds through my Glock 30SF today with this new laser/light combo unit. The unit performed flawlessly. Using the key provided for the Glock, this light stayed firmly affixed to the firearm from beginning to end. This is an excellent value considering the price. I have had other lasers the cost twice as much and none has performed better than this unit. The laser zeroing from the factory is very good... definitely good enough for home defense scenarios. Some people who are new to lasers feel like that the laser should offer some level of precision that their sights cannot. This is not true and it is not the reason to use a laser at all. The reason to use a laser is to give a visual indication of where the round will impact the target. It does not need to be as exact as a perfect site picture and likely will not be, primarily because a beam of light traveling in a straight line does not mirror the trajectory of a bullet. However, if you do your part related to trigger control, the point of impact will generally be +/- 2 inches from point of aim for targets from 0 to 25 yards. As for the light, it is not the brightest available, but it is sufficiently bright for identifying your target under typically dark conditions and is probably bright enough to momentarily blind a person at home defense distances. The light has a very nice hotspot and a good throw. A search on YouTube can give you some videos to see what I'm talking about. If you do view videos, keep in mind that the laser can be easily seen by the human eye but is not as easily seen by some video cameras when the light and laser are used together. Of course you can use the laser's switch to operate the light only or the laser only if that is your preference.I don't generally give such long-winded reviews but this is actually an excellent product. I highly recommend it.

Outstanding product
This light fits perfectly onto a .40 cal Springfield XD 3" subcompact. The rail is exactly the right length and it does not hang off the end (see note at the end of this review). But the cylindrical light portion does extend beyond the muzzle. So keep that in mind if you need to put this in a holster. The light is not Fenix-bright, but it's plenty bright. It will surely blind someone in the dark, which will give you a significant tactical advantage. The laser lasers in exactly the way a laser should. But the real selling point of this particular light is the switch: The paddle design for the continuous and momentary light switches is very easy to use and convenient. A light is no good to you if you can't find the switch to turn it on in the dark. Also, the ability to turn the light on, locate and blind your target, fire (or not), then turn it immediately back off again is vital so that you don't unintentionally broadcast your position waving a light all around. All of the components are well-made and high quality.Note: If this light is hanging off the end of your rail (regardless of what gun you have) then you have installed it incorrectly. Look under the rail and take note of the slot under there. The "key" on the light has to fit into that slot. That means you cannot slide it on from the end. You must line it up from the side and snap it on. If you mess this up, the light will come flying off when you fire the gun.I mention this here because the docs are cluttered with technical language which makes them hard to understand and there's only one picture. So it's understandable if people get this wrong.
