Description

This is one of a series of mechanicals, usually involving a tritych that are based on impressions of mechanical devices. They are done in oil over charcoal and painted thinly so that the charcoal can show through. They are painted on 140 lb. watercolor paper that has been prepared with four coats of tinted acrylic gesso to provide a stable but flexible surface that will accept oil paint.
