Definitely worth it
These controllers work very well. I have three very minor issues. One, since they are white dirt shows up very easily (makes me realize how disgusting my hands are). Two, the buttons stick just a tiny bit, but not game breaking wise. Three, the cords are slightly shorter than a licensed Nintendo controller (which these are NOT, just to let you know). But I still give it five stars, because they are soooo much cheaper than a Nintendo controller, and really there isn't much difference between the quality of the two, so save your money and get these instead.

So far so good.
I was worried about everyone complaining about these controllers but decided to give them a shot anyways. They came packaged in the hard plastic and when I opened them and played around with the buttons and joysticks, the controller felt really nice. It is a little lightweight and somewhat fragile, but for this price I wouldn't expect more. However, the two controllers have been working perfectly, have had zero issues and my roommate and I prefer them over 2 other controllers that we have. So from my experience, I think it's safe to say that this is a good buy if you are looking for gamecube controllers but don't want to pay the ridiculous amount for the Nintendo brand controllers. If anything happens to them I will update this, but so far, I have zero complaints and if it came down to it I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Shoddy workmanship
Before you form any opinion about these Gamecube controllers, know they work. That's about all they do.When I received them, the packaging was a bit beaten up. IN one of the two controllers, the spring made the controller vibrate until more extreme use broke the spring in, which made the controller more pleasant to hold and use. On the other controller, someone dropped the ball during construction, leaving the wire able to dangle out of the controller and risk being yanked apart from excessive pulling. If you have the latter problem, the wires inside need to be wrapped around the screw mount nearer the face buttons, so some simple deconstruction and reconstruction can take place to resolve it. Here's a rundown of the control functions;* All the face buttons function as expected; Press a button, it springs back* Unlike on some controllers, the shoulder buttons have the same contact as the face buttons, which means if that gets out of place somehow the shoulder buttons no longer work. I never had this happen yet.* The Z button oddly enough is a clicker. Not sure if this is standard form with Gamecube controllers but at least you know when you press it. Requires more force. The sticks are N64-style, with eight points of interest that lock the stick in place at the corners. For people coming from Playstation or another GCN controller that had no corners at the sticks, this will feel foreign.Overall, while not the most solidly-built of controllers, they work. You may need to disassemble them if the cable hangs out and you see exposed wiring past the jacket. They're not the best, but they're worth it if you just want to add more players to a game. They are as cheap as they get, but they do the job.The only other advantage these controllers have, aside from being unbranded are the fact they're white, which means if you want to get creative with paints you can disassemble the controller and paint the shell whatever you please.

Performs Well in High Traffic Environments (Church Youth Group)
Pros:Cheaper than official Nintendo controllersPerforms as well as official controllersCons:Feels slightly cheaper and less solidSlightly shorter cordI purchased these controllers to be used with a Wii owned by my church's youth group. Needless to say, 10-14 year old boys can be pretty rough on game controllers and such, but these have held up very nicely since I purchased them and commissioned them into service. They do feel a little less solid than the official Nintendo controllers, but the button presses are firm and satisfying, and the joysticks are tight and respond well. It seems like all of the buttons, especially the D-Pad, are slightly smaller than those on the official controller (after digging out my old Gamecube to compare controllers) The cords are fairly short, but are not much shorter than the official controllers. I know there are extension cords for these controllers floating around on Amazon, so that may be worth checking out if you can't sit close to the TV to play.Bottom line, these are a nice, more affordable alternative than the official Nintendo controllers. I'd say they have performed very well in a tough environment that can be punishing to game controllers.

3rd Party Controllers disappoint me.
For some reason, I thought these were licensed controllers sold by Nintendo, but they are not.The controllers feel great. Just like the Nintendo ones. Sometimes they are very obnoxious, however, and they endlessly make my character in Brawl run to the right, until I re-plug in the controller. I wasn't home much after that, going to a college, as I bought the controllers for my family to use. I come back for summer vacation, and go to play a game. Sadly, the controller did the problem described above, so I tried replugging it in, and went to the main menu. The controller started vibrating uncontrollably, any time it receives power (even when the Wii was off). I don't know if it is the wiring in them or what it is, but they are just not working for me.I guess that just taught me my lesson. My entire life, whether it has been for Playstation, Xbox, or the Wii, I've used 1st party controllers. All of them function perfectly. Almost every 3rd party controller I've ever used is either obnoxiously designed (Pelican controllers, for instance) or has problems. I'm fed up with these controllers.

If you don't need it to be super precise or tactile
It's usable. The sticks don't center and wobble about a millimeter or so in all directions from center. Top buttons are a bit harder to press and shoulders are a little loose. If you don't need it to be super precise or tactile, then these could work. they're really better for just emergencies for me.
