wow all these years and Night Trap still gets trashed lolTalk about waking up in 1994Night Trap isn't as all the best Sega CD/ Digital Pictures game ever put outBut, it's also Not the worstIt was filmed in 1987 and was originally developed for Hasbro's NEMO video game system, which used VHS tapes instead of ROM cartridges. then shelved for 4 yearsUntil it was Bought by Digital PicturesIt's without a doubt shot like a 1980's Classic Adult FilmSo That's why it always looked so strange even in the early '90's (Cause it was made in the late 80's)The late Dana Plato got top billing (I can't help but, wonder if the money she was payed to do this went to her Demons?)She's good in it for what little scenes she pops intoit's Dana Plato still healthy and looking like the girl next door (Not the D. Plato that would go on to do a Completely Different Strokes in 1998)her life is beyond tragic she died at 34 (Another legit good Child Star that would fall from Grace!)enough of this palaver.................. why this Game should be RespectedIt's the first Interactive Movie that was on a home console (A little late to the party but, better to be late then dead on time)It's Changed the landscape of Games being one of the 4-5 titles that got the attention from the United States Congresswhich in turned blackmailed the gaming industry into creating the ESRB ratings system.Night Trap had no business no be one of those handful of titles to be singled out (It was so tame and had very little to No anything)My honest guess one of the people in Congress seen footage and flipped Because it does look like a 80's Adult Film everything about it the Set something about it always bothered me (I bet the same set was used by VCA or Wicked Pictures or whoever was doing films around Culver City, CA in 1987) If it's for the Original Sega CD Artwork with the illustration of the Blonde with Cleavage Showing that would be so Lame and PettyThen again our same Congress went after music! So who really knows?It's a real Retro Treasure that gets unjustifiably torn apart 'Mostly cause it's a easy target7.5/10It's sad due to the fact the game gets trashed for almost 25 yearsThen Scott Cawthon Rips-off Night Trap and Double Switch to Create Five Nights @ Freddy's (and the jerk-off makes money off Others hard work) All you Five Nights Fanboys prove me wrong???

Most of you know Night trap. If not here's a quick rant. It's corny, very corny. That's part of the gimmick. You're part of a task force and have to rescue these kids before they're taken away for food by vampires in this mansion. Some of the clips are fun to watch when you catch baddies and actually, I had fun trying to figure out where they all were. It's basically a memorization game and you have to move quickly. Even if that isn't your idea of a fun time, simply consider that it's an interesting challenge. The movie was kind of fun to watch too.There's something about games that people say are terrible that makes them fun again in the future and well this is one of them.

Night Trap.The game that caused a whole stir of controversy in the early 90's. And for what? ...nothing at all. By today standards this game would be rated Teen. There are games out there now that would make this look like Mario Bros. Does this game suck? Yes it does. But in a good way. The far fetched story...the terrible acting...the funny dialouge....the cheese factor of this game is over the roof,and thats what makes it so great. It's just so bad that its hillarious. It's also a part of video game history that some people remember....and some that wanna forget.

Don't be fooled with rated / unrated versions of the game. They are identical except the newer versions were tagged with the new rating system.The game itself becomes kind of tedious and dull if you don't have a walkthrough. Usually you spend your time trying to see weird scenes that you previously missed. The 32x version was much clearer than the original Sega-cd one (otherwise the exact same game).
