A must-buy item for a trampoline
If you are purchasing a trampoline, this item is a must!We purchased a trampoline which we loved and enjoyed for nearly a month before a windy thunderstorm one evening. I thought the kids were kidding as they looked out the window and told me the trampoline was moving around the yard. I looked out and saw it on the wrong side of the yard pushed up against our fence. My husband assured me it would be fine, "The fence will stop it. It won't go anywhere." (Go ahead and laugh, these were famous last words. . .)Just a couple minutes later I looked out to see a broken fence and no trampoline! I ran outside to see it 2 houses away, half of it on to of the neighbor's pool deck. It had taken down my fence and the top of a neighbor's, I assume it sheared off mine as it slid but must have been airborne as it hit the other fence. I am glad I missed seeing that happen! It took four of us to get it back to our yard. There was no damage to the pool deck and the fences were easily fixed, thank goodness for understanding neighbors. We ordered new parts for the trampoline along with this anchor kit.The point of my story is to help someone learn from my mistake! Don't put up a trampoline without this product. Not properly securing the trampoline in the first place cost us time, money and disappointment as the kids were without their "toy" until replacement pieces arrived and we could put it back together. Honestly, we were very lucky. It could have been worse and the trampoline could have come through our back window.UPDATE: The trampoline made it through a year with these anchors! We recently had a terrible storm (a derecho) which knocked down and uprooted trees leaving the area without power for 5 days. Without a doubt, it was the worst storm I have ever seen. It twisted and blew down our (very heavy) cedar playset and unfortunately, sent it crashing into the trampoline, breaking it free of the nylon straps. HOWEVER, had this not happened I firmly believe this anchor set would have been able keep the trampoline in place. We found the anchors still in the ground with the straps threaded through. I cannot recommend this product enough, in my book it should be a requirement when purchasing a trampoline.

Barring one minor defect, these have worked very well.
I live in Iowa surrounded by very few trees, so wind blowing through my backyard can be really intense. I needed something to anchor my trampoline and these are doing the job amazingly well. The other day, we had some serious winds. Enough to knock over my Weber Bullet Smoker that I have on my deck. Winds were gusting to 60 mph and the trampoline stayed put. It really works well. The one defect was that one of the anchors did not have the right screw design...so it didn't screw into the ground. I had bend it with a set of pliers to get it to screw into the ground. Not ideal, but not a huge deal. I'm just happy my trampoline hasn't blown into my neighbors yard.

Good product, bad straps though
The product seemed cheap, I had to use a plier to twist the drilling heads a little bit, I used a 24” pry bar to spin these into our clay-like ground. I did feel like I was going to twist them off a few time but they held up enough to get them in the ground enough to clear them with a lawnmower. The straps are garbage, but some cheap tie-down straps from your local hardware store.

I liked the stakes that came with the package
I liked the stakes that came with the package, but not the nylon straps. The connectors were cheap plastic and would come apart when I pulled on them. If the wind actually tried to pick up the trampoline I am sure they would not secure it as easily as I was able to pick up on the trampoline and they popped apart..I went to the local hardware store and bought some ratchet straps to use with the stakes and it seems much more sturdy. The stakes are the only reason i am rating the product a 3 star, if they had not secured into the ground, i would definitely rate this product a 1 star.

Should have metal buckles
The plastic buckles are in two pieces that snap together, supposedly to help disconnect them if needed. But when tightening the straps down, a couple of them came apart. This makes me concerned that during high winds, the plastic pieces simply won't hold. I'm also concerned with how the plastic will handle the weather over time. The instructions describe metal buckles, and I wish there were metal buckles.I also have fairly rocky soil, and could not get any of the augers into the ground more than a few inches. I ended up using some heavy duty tent stakes I had on hand, instead.I plan to replace this before the spring storms come.

Better products are available
These have some pros and cons.Pros: they're very solid, once deep in the ground; they're easy to fix to the trampoline and easy to undoCons: driving the stakes in can be VERY difficult (you will need to use a stick or short pole through the eye hole to be able to turn the screws in even regular soil); the plastic clips on the tension straps break very easily, and then you have insightly knots in the webbingThere are better alternatives. Look for screw-style ground anchors and metal clips.

Very sturdy
I installed/re-installed these to move the trampoline, as my daughter didn't want anybody to be able to see her jumping, so you can remove and reuse. Before installing them I pounded in a similar sized bar to the same depth to make a starter hole, then shot the hole full of water with the hose before screwing in the anchors. I also whetted the anchors with a hose before removing them, and they all screwed right out. They're just the right dimensions that I felt if they didn't get some lubrication they might break in this hard Texas clay, but I've had no issues with them at all. One thing to note is that the anchors I received were black powder coated - which I think is a plus.

This product is pretty good. I wish the clips would fit through the eyelets though. It is a pain to undo to cut the grass.

If you can keep your trampoline while all around are losing theirs...
I can review these anchors now because we've had some ferocious storms recently.1. The pegs: They're long, with twists of metal at the end to turn them into mini augers. They don't look anything special, but they screwed into the soil easily enough with the help of a long screwdriver used as a handle. Once embedded deep in the ground, the spikes held firmly.2. The straps: To be honest I wasn't massively impressed with the quality of these. It's just some webbing and a side release clip. I'd been expecting double stitching and something high quality and really solid. They're OK, but didn't blow me away... (pun intended)3. Instructions: Adequate. I'm fairly familiar with ladder locks and side release clips and webbing, so I didn't need a lot of instruction. I think the instructions assumed a certain level of competence/experience which not everyone has. They worked for me, so I can't complain.4. In use: 99.999% of the time the anchor kit sits there doing nothing. Then for a couple of hours a year they save your trampoline, your house, your car, your insurance premiums and maybe even your life. In that respect, they're fantastic.

I just screwed down the ground anchor. My experience ...
I just screwed down the ground anchor. My experience is that the anchor is currently in an open hole. A powerful wind will pull them up and they will hang on the trail after the trampoline when it travels with the wind. The manufacturer should state that the anchors must be given the required time until the soil has "sat" around the anchors. Then you can trust that they do their job when needed. This equipment is basically not a storm securing set. The plastic clips that come with the straps are the weakest link in the chain. They will be permanent weakened during use through 4 seasons (sun and minus degrees) and you simply can not rely on them after a short period of time. These clips I threw into trash, and replaced with steel locking. Now it's even storm-proof.

Not fit for purpose
Anchors screwed in, maybe took an hour, not the easiest job in the world and the holes they left in my lawn made me decide to take up miniature golf.but once the anchors were in, that's when the real problems started. the straps are beyond useless, I had a funny feeling whilst installing them, the all plastic parts didn't feel strong at all, but having grafted for that long I didn't have the heart to turn back, so completed the installation as instructed.luckily I felt uneasy so decided to watch the trampoline as the wind started to pick up in the evening. luckily I didn't have to wait too long, the first clip broke 10 minutes in, (and it wasn't all that windy (30mph approx.)I immediately dismantled the netting and trampoline and took it to the garage & completed the return form.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS SUB PAR PRODUCT!! A flying trampoline can cost you a whole lot more than the pennies you would save from buying a proper product, instead of this knockoff.
