Good Jig for the Money
Decent low cost jig. I do not see why it would have any negatives - yes it is not a Bitz, but for the money, I could by 5 of these for 1 Bitz. It does a great job and is not difficult to set up (somewhat intuitive). It cleans up very well using acetone or Methel Ethyl Keytone (MEK), but I prefer acetone - honestly if you need to put a bunch of time into clean up, then you are probably using too much glue.I've fletched "fat" Carbon Express CXL's with it as well as Blue Streaks with equal results. I have only used Bohning Blazers or X2's with it, so I cannot speak to results with longer vanes, but the results are equal with either vane.

It makes arrows!
This fletching jig seems to work well for a clamp type jig. I have no complaints. It is nice that it has markings on it to tune in adjust fletching offset.

Should Have Bought The Blitzenberger From The Start
I wish I had bought the Blitzenberger to start with. While this device uses a magnet to hold the clamp just as does the "Blitz", the magnet on the Bohning is nowhere NEAR as powerful as the one on the Blitz and does not provide as much pressure to hold down your feather. In addition, the plastic clamp is simply more susceptible to getting glued to your fletchings than is the steel clamp of the Blitz. The clamp itself dos not squeeze nearly as tightly as does the Blitz. Adjusting the offset angle with the Bohning is a bit more guesswork compared with the Blitz. I never did quite get it right with the Bohning. And lastly, the instructions are not very thorough. Honestly, once I got my Blitz, and read the instructions that came with IT, I realized there were a few things I could have done differently with Bohning and it might have worked better. But by then I had a Blitz, so why bother? Now, lots of people use this jig and it seems to work just fine for them. So, maybe it's just me. But I do wonder if maybe those folks are using vanes rather than feathers. I use only feathers, and those are a bit more delicate and temperamental in the fletching process than are vanes. Maybe for vanes, this jig works just fine. I can see how some of the issues I have would be far less serious with vanes than with feathers. But I can't say for sure.My advice ... if you're using vanes find a friend who has one of these and try his/hers before you spring for one. But if you're fletching with feathers, save up for the Blitzenberger from the start.

Does exactly what you bought it for
I purchased this LW jig to place an old JoJan straight fletcher. I shoot full helical with my traditional stuff. I ordered an extra RW clamp separately. Very easy to use. The fletching process with this is pretty straight forward. If you're not a instruction reader, make sure you align the graduations on the back of the jig (the part that houses the magnet)to get your L or R helical correct. Once you do that, the fletching lines up great. Also, this worked fine on 2216 Easton XX75 Gamegetters if you're worried about arrow diameters larger than carbon.
