Canon E-58II Lens Cap for 58mm Thread

Just got this to go on my Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L II.These new mark II lens caps are pretty handy with their centre pinch design to be able to more easily remove and attach them without having to remove the lens hood. They are also well made as you'd expect of a Canon original product. Another thing worth noting and that may be interesting to others is that they really lock down nice and securely on B+W XS-PRO filters. These filters are the slim profile type and only have a very small front thread and as users of them will know the old style caps although they did clip on to them they didn't do so all the way or feel particularly secure, but these new ones do so much better. In fact once attached you can pull forward on them and they won't budge. Just a little unexpected bonus that I thought may interest some. One little point is that they are slightly thicker than the old ones but I can't think where this would be much of an issue.I'm glad Amazon UK themselves finally stock this item. They've got the 58mm too but that's all as far as I can tell. Hopefully they'll get more of each thread size. I'm sure I and others could happily live with the old style caps but I personally think for a little bit of money they're worth purchasing.

Canon E-58II Lens CapA basic and standard accessory for your camera, I am currently using this for my Cannon 1100D fits perfect no messing around or fuss. They lens caps do seem to be a fiddly accessories in general due to the size and the constant use while taking pictures and moving of and on the camera on days out, fairly standard nothing special and get what you pay for.Giving 4 stars due to it being a standard and basic product (still does the job perfectly), I have seen this product for cheaper in shops but for convenience I ordered it online.Delivery was on time no fuss or hassle, came in 2 days.

I bought this lens cap to replace a third party cap that kept falling off and ending up in the bottom of my camera bag. The cap is well made, fits perfectly and is yet to come loose. It does not come with one of those little straps to attach it to the lens, but for me this is fine as I would rather that the cap was safely in my pocket than dangling around.If you are looking for a cap for a 58mm canon lens, I would say it is worth paying a couple of pounds extra for the quality and reassurance that this one provides.

It appears to be the exact same canon-branded lens that comes with a Canon camera or lens, not a cheap knockoff. Perfect replacement for a lost one.
