A Precision Engineered Solution
The Watts Stainless Steel Cinch clamps prove to be a genuine product. I have used these clamps in various sizes. As an engineer, my standards are high and I have checked various aspects of this clamp so that I would be assured of a trouble free experience. These clamps are stamped with markings that indicate that they meet industry standards. It is important to have the markings for ASTM 2098 which is the standard for corrosion resistant annealed 304 stainless steel, portable water heater applications designated as PWH and residential fire rating rating designated as RF. I also tested the magnetic properties of these clamps with a high Gauss magnet and found it to be consistent with the properties of 304 stainless steel. It is good to know that you have a correct and genuine part for the application especially when attempting to use on pressurized water lines. This product receives my engineering stamp of approval.

Much thicker gauge than HydroPEX (RF) brand
Though listed as Watts, they are actually stamped "Murray". My only comparison is the HydroPEX (stamped "RF") brand, which are much thinner. Attached is a picture of 1 inch cinches, the HydroPEX (RF) on the left and and these Watts (Murray) on the right, both stainless steel. I noticed the difference on 3/4 cinches as well, though the 1/2 inch cinches appear the same. The HydroPEX (RF) clamps are much easier to cinch, being thinner, but certainly not as secure as these.

Great clamps - but buy a good crimping tool unless you are a monster-man
Worked extremely well - but you really need to buy the best clamping tool that's out there.I'm a full sized man with pretty strong arms and hands and it was tough crimping these with the cheap tool I bought.A ratcheting tool would make these a breeze to use.

2 day shipping and STILL cheaper than Home Depot.
If you've got PEX plumbing that needs to get "married" here's your wedding rings. Stainless steel, should last a lifetime, compatible with standard crimp tools, and the price per fitting is...not so good. PEX Universe will sell you a whole lot more cinch clamps a lot cheaper if you don't need it in 2 days like these available under PRIME.

Easy, tight pex water line clamps .
Works great on 3/4" pex water line fittings.

holding well. But not for wimps.
holding well. But not for wimps. Can be challenging to crimp, especially in awkward quarters. I ended up extending the handles of the crimper with pvc pipes to get extra leverage in some spots.

quick and convenient
These cinch clamps are a breeze to install. The tool grips the tab, and prevents it from falling out of the tool.Removal is simply a case of snapping off the small barb near the end of the outer tab, then prying open the tab. A lot easier than other designs.
