NON26444 Avant Deluxe Non-Sterile Gauze Sponge, 4" x 4", 4-Ply (Pack of 2000)

Due to chronic illness, I have to buy an obscene amount of medical supplies that are not covered by my insurance. These are something I need on a daily basis, and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. They were delivered in a rainstorm while I wasn't here, but because the maker put a small water-resistant square on the top and bottom of each of the packages, there was no damage at all.

After a recent surgery, I needed a lot of gauze. I've purchased this a couple times in the past, and I'm always blown away by how inexpensive it is compared to getting individually-wrapped sterile gauze sponges from the grocery store of pharmacy. Assuming you have the space to store 10x small towers of (non-sterile) gauze the size of your forearm, you can't get a better value for your buck.

These "sponges" aren't really sponges but a folded over dense gauze pads, but they are perfect for doing the wound care for my fathers wounds. These pads have a slight sheen to them and don't stick to the wound very much and are excellent for keeping the wound covered and clean. Great product. I was glad to be able to get them from Amazon and not have to get them at the local Medical Supply house which charged MUCH more. I will definitely buy these again.
