This is a great reason to join the Mega Mug Club.
7-Eleven sold a 100 ounce mug for $9.99 that was red, black, white, and had neck tie patterns on it. I loved it, and while it would be hyperbolic to say that it changed my life, it *absolutely* became something I didn't feel right leaving for work without. On one occasion, I've forgotten to take my work laptop with me *to work*. That's embarassing. I should have known better! What horrible planning!Realizing my 7-Eleven mug was in the dishwasher while I was heading out the door to work (with my laptop!) was equally embarassing. How could I be so irresponsible?I vowed to eliminate this problem in the future and posthaste spent $25 buying this Giant Insulated Mug.I'm happy with it. I use it every day. It's replaced my other Mega Mug, and I only use that one if I *have* to (#firstworldproblems). If you're the kind of person who's considering spending $25 on a cup, buy it now. You'll be happy too! But this item is not without it's gotchas.Neutral:The current image for this item has a radioactively bright, green mug on a black background. When I made my purchase, I assumed it was a user submitted image that was color-corrected to have a perfectly black background and that the colors were oversaturated. I was wrong. The mug *really* is that bright, and this has two implications:First, it draws attention. And I say this as someone who is used to getting comments about carrying around a mug bigger than most people's heads. I haven't had a blind person make a comment about it yet, but I won't be surprised when it happens.Second, If you drink Mt. Dew, you know it's 'unnaturally' vibrant already. My choice to call this mug "radioactive" was intentional, because when you fill it with Mt. Dew for the first time, you're going to feel unnerved. You're going to wonder if maybe they mixed up the lines the last time they swapped out the bags, and maybe some Pepsi mixed in with your Dew. You're going to tap the button for a second "just to clear the pipes", to make sure it doesn't happen again. Then you're going to wonder if maybe there's something wrong with the water, and shudder when you consider that maybe they never clean their soda machine (eww).I'm here to tell you, my fellow Mega Mug Club members, that none of those fears are justified! It's just the mug. It's super green! The mug and the color of Dew don't match! All is right in the world, and the world is pretty sweet when you're getting 100 ounces of Dew for a buck, on average.Pro:This mug is slightly shorter and wider than other 100 ounce mugs I own. I find that I can just push it against most ice dispensers and get ice. Soda is a little more nuanced, but both the hold-button-to-fill and the little push-arm-back things are easier. The grooves in the handle fit my thumb better than most other models. I can easily slide my thumb into the side grooves or the top without issues.Con:Other mugs on the market have better insulation than this one.The straw shipped with this mug is too short .

Great mug but a bit overpriced
I purchased this item in Feb of 2014. It served me well. I accidentally left tea in the jug for a few days while I took a road trip. Stuff was growing when I returned. I felt I needed a new mug.The mug kept my drinks (usually water or tea) very cold. In an air conditioned area, the ice would usually last 24 hours. In 80 to 90 degree temps, a full jug of ice with a small amount of water would last about 12 hours. The mug is easy to clean but I have a lot of bottle cleaning tools. The top takes a bit of effort and a couple of scrub brushes that will get into the little crevices. I use some hot water/Dawn plus some Clorox foaming kitchen cleanser to scrub the top. If you drink sugary drinks, it is very important to keep the top (and mug) very clean or bacteria will colonize. The top will leak a small amount even with both ports closed if the mug gets turned on its side. The port closures have remained secure for 3.5 years. The mug, full of fluid, is too heavy for some. I am a strong man with well developed upper body/arm musculature plus I use 150lb hand grips bilaterally every night. I can lift it/use it easily. However, I have a lot of friends with 100 ounce mugs and they must carry the mug with two hands. I don't use a straw but most of my friends (the gals that run) use the big straws due to the weight of the mug.Circle K sells Polar Pop mugs. The 44-ounce mug is $5.99, the 62-ounce mug is $8.99 and 100-ounce mug is $9.99. These are excellent mugs and they look ok. Ice and/or water refills at all Circle K stores are free. Sode/fountain refills for the 44 ounces are $ 0.76 and $1.09 for the 100 ounces in my area. I don't like soda so I get ice water refills all the time. Not all Circle K stores carry the mugs and the 100 ounces are hard to find. However, the store near my house ordered me a dozen of the 100-ounce mugs (for friends). They get stock on Mondays and Thursdays so it only took two days to get my mugs.I prefer my Mountain Dew mug because it is bright green and different than my friends' blue/white Polar Pop mugs. I also like the handle on the Mountain Dew mug better. I'm using my old mug as a portable ice chest.

EXPENSIVE LEAKY MESS!
I really loved this mug at first - it was fun and kept beverages cold - then the bottom started leaking and I noticed there was also water in between the inside and the insulation - not good! I never washed it in the dishwasher - just hand-washed so mine was defective - Sad! For as much money as I spent, it should have lasted much longer than 2-weeks!! Sending it back!

A perfect gift for the dew lover in your life.
I bought this for my husband. He loves Mountain Dew, and I thought it'd be cool for him to have an official mug.He loves it! It's exactly as advertised, extremely well insulated, and holds 100 ounces. It's very easy to clean, just goes in my dish washer, and is very durable. My husband loves it!

Great!
You can't really beat this huge cup. I only got this size because I felt cheated buying the 64 ounce for the same price. Completely filling this cup with ice and drink, I've had it go 15 hours and still have some ice in it. I use it everyday. Circle K fills this up for $1.09. Not a bad deal, lol.

A little flimsy but does keep drinks cold for 14 hours...
This is HUUUGE!!! Expect it to require two hands when it's filled as it's heavy. Be careful when you set it down as the plastic construction of the base is of a plastic thinner than I like, always set it down on a pile of napkins or paper towels. It costs around $1.35 to fill with soda and ice at 711 and that lasts more than 14 hours, swear to God.

This thing is HUGE! My husband was just diagnosed ...
This thing is HUGE! My husband was just diagnosed with Lyme disease and has to drink 100 oz of water daily. Treated well, no reason why this jug shouldn’t last.
